Loctite 518 Surface Sealant 25 ml. Loctite® 518 is a one-component, medium-strength anaerobic sealant that cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. Typical applications include sealing close-fitting connections between rigid metallic sealing and flange surfaces. Tightness against low pressures is provided immediately after flange assembly. Typical area of application is the production of liquid gaskets on torsionally rigid flange connections, e.g. gearboxes and engine housings, etc. Due to its thixotropic behavior, Loctite® 518 reduces the migration of the liquid product after application to the part.
