Felt mats. The specific weight 0.36 g/m³ = average strength (for felt, also known as bulk density) is the measure of the strength of a felt and is calculated by dividing the weight [kg] by the volume [dm³] (unit kg/dm³ or g/cm³). The strength is divided into 4 classes (soft, medium, firm, hard) and further specified. DIN 61200 regulates the exact strength designations and their tolerances.
