Loctite® 518 is a one-component medium-strength anaerobic sealant that cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces.Typical applications include sealing close-fitting joints between rigid metal gasket and flange surfaces. Immediately after flange assembly, tightness against low pressures is ensured. Typical applications include the production of liquid gaskets on torsionally rigid flange connections, e.g. gearboxes and motor housings etc. Due to its thixotropic behavior, Loctite® 518 reduces the migration of the liquid product after application to the part.
