The product cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. Typical applications include the production of liquid seals on torsionally rigid flange connections, e.g. gearboxes and engine housings etc. Due to its thixotropic behavior, Loctite® 573 reduces the migration of the liquid product after application to the part.
